Kyoto- Need a friend or an assistant when shopping in a market or Mall.Do not worry because there is now a constant companion who will accompany when you go shopping.Robot Robovie ready to do it gladly for you. This robot is not an early prototype but already the second prototype currently being developed at the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR) in Japan.
For a while this robot will work as a shopping assistant at Apita-Seikadai supermarket in Kyoto until March 2013.Robovie II. made to facilitate the elderly when shopping. Robovie II task is to bring a shopping list and follow the customer into the store seluru. It also can be used to carry grocery items.
As reported japantoday, the experiment was aimed at collecting data to provide livelihood support to the elderly by using robotic and networking technologies
The robot can move around the shopping center for shop owners, in an attempt at Kyoto.Robovie-II can also greet visitors at the entrance to the shopping center and follow them down the shelves of goods while bringing the shopping cart and remind them of the list of goods who want to buy, where visitors can enter the shopping center earlier list through special device provided.
This robot can wirelessly receive the list of goods that you want to spend. Besides this humanoid robot will bring the shopping cart and be able to make a recommendation in respect of goods that currently you would need to spend.
At this stage of the experiment, the robot looks are serving 67-year-old woman as she carries around a shopping center shopping baskets. Robovie told the elderly woman that the fruit is in a shopping cart that was carrying when it looks so delicious, she agreed. Furthermore, the robot advised the woman to buy a lettuce leaf.
Robovie Robot made by ATR is currently being developed in several different machines. Some are now used as a monitor for the detection of a crowd of people who are lost, while others are sold miniature form.
How? Impressive is not it? With Robovie you can shoping your fill at will and without any fatigue and loneliness.
